SALVA

Salva, a ten-year-old girl, grows up in a rural region of Colombia. Her life is marked by violence and neglect from her mother. After facing the additional threat of sexual exploitation, she runs away from home and joins an armed group. At first, Salva finds a sense of security and belonging among the other children there. But this illusion shatters when she witnesses the violence within the group and confronts the harsh reality of a world from which there is no easy escape. For years, Salva participates in armed operations as a fighter, until an attack on a village and an encounter with innocent people force her to confront the consequences of her actions. In a reintegration center, with the support of professionals, Salva attempts to rebuild her life - toward a future free from violence.
